In order to realize the localization of welding materials in the manufacturing and installation of nuclear power equipment,submerged arc welding wire and flux for hanging basket barrel are developed. By controlling the key elements C and N of 308L submerged arc welding wire,HS308LH welding wire and SJ601H welding flux conforming to nuclear power requirements are developed. The compo-sition,mechanical property,intergranular corrosion and meta-llographic structure of the developed wire and flux are tested.The results show that the wire and flux have the characteristics of good appearance of weld,easy slag removal and excellent welding process. And the mechanical properties,ferrite content and intergranular corrosion properties of the deposited metal all meet the technical requirements of third-generation nuclear power with a certain margin. Especially,the tensile property of deposited metal at 350 ℃ obviously improves with a large margin. The developed welding materials have passed the evaluation of major nuclear grade I equipment manufacturers in China.
