The CuCrZr used for welding arm of manual spot welder has the characteristics of excellent high temperature properties,high electrical conductivity and long service life. The composition of CuCrZr was optimized,and the microstructure of the material before and after optimization and related mechanical properties are tested. The comparison analysis shows that by properly reducing the Cr content in the material and increasing the Zr content,the crystal structure of the material can be refined. Dispersed Cu-Zr particles in the copper matrix can effectively prevent the disappearance of dislocations and the grain boundary slippage. Therefore,the elastic modulus and yield strength of the material can be improved. The optimized CuCrZr material can effectively reduce the electrode deformation during welding.
