In this paper,an erosion-resistant wear surfacing electrode was developed and a surfacing welding test was performed on the low-carbon steel Q235. The microstructure and wear resistance of the surfacing layer metal were studied. The results show that the welding rod has good welding process performance, less spatter in the surfacing process, stable arc, beautiful appearance of the weld seam, good slag detachability, and no obvious welding defects such as pores and cracks. The microstructure of the surfacing layer metal is mainly composed of lath martensite and a large number of finely dispersed carbonitride precipitates;precipitation has a strong precipitation strengthening effect on the martensite matrix;the metal hardness of the surfacing layer is evenly distributed. The average hardness is HRC43.8,with good performance. Compared with ZG35 Si Mn,the erosion wear resistance of the surfacing layer metal is nearly increased by 0.87 times. It can be used for the manufacture and repair of severely damaged erosion wear parts.
