Research on the powder melting process is of crucial importance to the process optimization and formation control of laser processing and manufacturing technology.A high-speed camera system aiming at recording diode laser cladding process was established.With this system,the process of powder melting,gathering,fusing,spreading and forming was recorded,and five characteristic behaviors was concluded for a complete process.The characteristics of sufferance force,heat distribution and heat transfer during different periods for the melt was analyzed to explain the influence of different process parameters on forming process.The forming mechanism of some typical formation was also analyzed.
