In recent years, the Fundamental Industry Training Center of Tsinghua University has opened many core course of cultural quality. Engineering practice is an important component of the course. With the increasing proportion of liberal arts students choosing the number of courses, the engineering practice teaching plan must be reformed in the new situation. In order to further adapt the curriculum construction ideas and to strengthen the cultivation of students’ innovative consciousness and innovation ability, This article explains how it can be applied to engineering training based on the "art welding" practice.
