Wire and arc additive manu facturing was carried out by using 316 L wire on Q235 A steel plate,and the effects on the forming were investigated. The microstructure of stainless steel material was analyzed. The results show that the stainless steel wire and arc additive manufacturing forming can be realized by adjusting the welding current,welding speed and wire feeding speed. The forming material has the advantages of high density,good dimensional accuracy and better surface quality,and its microstructure is austenite in the form of columnar dendrites,and the top dendrites are relatively small in size.
