Influences of Welding Parameters on the Shearing Strength of Resistance Spot-welded Joints of Galvanized Low Carbon Steel Sheets
The influences of welding parameters including welding current, welding duration and electrode force on the shearing strength of resistance spot-welded joints of hot-dipped galvanized low carbon steel sheets were studied by using orthogonal tests, and the microstructure, hardness distribution and shearing strength of welded joints produced by optimal welding parameters were also investigated. The results showe that the welding current has the most significant influences on the shearing strength of welded joints. The optimal welding parameters are welding current of 13 kA, welding duration of 80 ms and electrode force of 4 kN. The microstructure of welding zone is mainly lath martensite with hardness of 320 HV, the microstructure of substrate is mainly ferrite with hardness of 102 HV, the microstructure of heat affected zone is martensite and ferrite with the medium hardness.
