When 30CrMnSi steel is welded by laser self-fusing welding, the probability of crack is still high, and the front side of the weld is prone to collapse under the phenomnon, can not meat the requirements of production use. Results indicate the laser-arc hybrid welding method can realize the single face welding and double face forming of this alloy, and the welding seam is uniform and elegant. When the laser power is 3 000 W and the welding current is 90 A, the internal crack, especially the crack in the lap joint, can be effectively avoided with 3 mm root face. The average tensile strength of the joint is 1 106 MPa, which is 90% of the base metal. The microstructure in the overheated zone of the joint is mainly composed of the coarse martensite, which is the main reason for the increase of hardness.
