The results show that the hot crack tendency of superalloy can be improved by reducing the heat input and adding the interlayer with low content of Al+Ti. The main reason of hot crack is that the welds and low melting point liquid film such as carbide precipitated along the grain boundary in HAZ are subjected to stress. Realloying of weld metal by Fe-containing interlayer improves the plasticity and toughness of weld microstructure,destroys the continuity of low melting point phase such as carbide and eliminates the solidification crack in weld.
