Abstract

By changing the wire nitrogen content,nitro-gen treatment on room temperature and 350 ℃ high tempe-rature tensile strength in 308L submerged arc welding deposited metal is studied. The tensile properties of deposited metals with different nitrogen contents were tested. The results showed that, the nitrogen content of deposited metal was within the range of 0.046%~0.096%,the room temperature strength of deposited metal increased with the increase of nitrogen content. The room temperature strength of the deposited metal was significantly improved when the nitrogen content increased from 0.046% to 0.077%,the room temperature strength of the deposited metal was no significant changed when the nitrogen content increased from 0.077% to 0.096%. The 350 ℃ high temperature strength of the deposited metal linearly increased with the increase of nitrogen content, but 350 ℃ high temperature elongation and reduction of area was no significant change with the increase of nitrogen content. The problem of low 350 ℃ high temperature tensile strength of submerged arc welding deposited metal was solved by improving the nitrogen content in the 308L wire. The submerged arc welding material HS308LH +SJ601H has been developed to meet the require-ments of third-generation nuclear power.
