Microstructures and stress-rupture properties of DD5 single crystal superalloy joints brazed with a Nickel-based filler metal
Joining of DD5 single crystal superalloy is extremely important for the manufacturing of the blades and vanes in aero-engines. In this paper, the DD5 single crystal superalloy was brazed with NiNbCoWCrAlSiMo(ВПр24) filler metal. Sound joints were obtained. The joint microstructure was complicated. The interface reaction products could be characterized as carbides, borides and silicides compounds distributed on the γ+γ’ dual-phase matrix. Meanwhile, it was fount that the joint gap had an effect on the joint stress-rupture strength. With the joint gap of 0.1 mm, the joint stress-rupture strength under the condition of 980?/100 h reached 80 MPa.
