Study on phase field method for large-scale simulation of two-dimensional grain growth process
The two-dimensional grain growth process is simulated by phase field method. The grain radius, distribution characteristics of grain edge number,and the correlation between grain radius and edge number are analyzed statistically. The kinetics and track of individual grain growth are studied. The results show that the distributions of relative grain radius and grain edge number have selfsimilarity. There is a positive correlation between the grain edge number and grain radius. The relationship between the growth rate and radius of individual grain agrees well with Hillert equation.
