With the implementation of the "Made in China 2025" strategy,the field of welding manufacturing has been transformed into an intelligent,information-based manufacturing industry through the promotion of the deep integration of "two industries." The welding practice teaching links with KUKA arc welding robot in a material forming laboratory of fundamental industrial training center of Tsinghua University are discussed,and the application of inquiry learning in practical teaching of arc welding robot is expound,including curriculum design,teaching plan and teaching environment. Through inquiry learning such as experiment,operation,collection,processing information and communication,students can not only master the basic programming operation of KUKA arc welding robot,but also understand the influence of welding parameter on weld forming quality,aiming at strengthening students’ engineering awareness and exploration spirit.
