By understanding the physical and chemical properties of water glass,according to the quality requirements of welding electrode,3.4 M sodium water glass and 3.1 M potassium sodium water glass solid block are used,and according to the "predetermined quality index" adjustment formula and different melting methods,different quality parameters of the water glass are tested in the E4303 welding electrode. The results show that the different quality parameters of water glass blended under the same conditions have obvious effects on the appearance quality and welding process performance of the electrode. The quality control of the glass for the manufacture of welding electrodes is clarified through the influence of different quality parameters of water glass on the appearance quality of the welding electrode and the performance of the welding process. The method of how to adopt the appropriate method for regulation when the water glass quality parameters deviate from the quality requirements is described.
