Finishing is the most important process of improving the harshness of rail field welded joint. For the problem that the manual rail profiling refiner,nowadays used for the rail field welded joint grinding after welded in our country,has a low efficiency and an unstable grinding quality and the grinding process can’t be accurately controlled,a new shape finishing equipment for rail welded joint has been developed successfully and tested in field railway. The result shows that such an equipment can improve the harshness and surface quality of the welded joint effectively,and develop the joint’s passing rate of the joint harshness steadily. It has a high efficiency and is also applicable to the complex condition of the field grinding work.
