In this paper a weld expert system base-on rail transit industry is proposed,to assist designing Welding Procedure Specification（WPS）,manage the process of welding signature and welding files. By using the system,the welding engineer can quote existed WPS,input joint preparation information quickly. And the system will judge if WPS meeting the standard of rail transit industry. The system is based on BS architecture so it’s benefit for maintenance and upgrading.
