Due to excellent corrosion resistance and weldability and low linear expansion coefficient,the duplex stainless steel is very suitable to be use as the corrosion resistant lining for carbon steel and low alloy pressure vessel. According to the weldability of the materials,using a variety of welding methods and material forms with austenitic stainless steel welding materials 308L & 309L to simulate the common type of joint of the products. The duplex stainless steel S22253 & S22053 are welded and the tests are performed,such as visual inspection,NDT,tensile test,bend test and room-temperature impact test. The results show that by using austenitic stainless steel welding material,the weld joint of duplex stainless steel has excellent weldability and its all properties meet the requirements.
