The resistance brazing method was employed to weld AgSnO
2
contact points and H62 brass contact bridges using BAg60CuZn brazing filler metal. The effects of welding current
welding time
and welding pressure on the shear strength of the contacts were analyzed. The results indicate that the maximum shear strength of 20.3 MPa is achieved when the welding current is 7.5 kA
the welding time is 90 cycles
and the electrode pressure is 2.3 kN. As the brazi
ng rate increases
the shear strength of the contacts continuously increases and stabilizes at approximately 20 MPa when the brazing rate reaches about 85%. Microstructural analysis reveals that the weld consists mainly of silver-copper eutectic and solid solution structures. With the increase of the brazing rate
the weld microstructure gradually improves
and defects decrease. The brazing rate calculated by ultrasonic C-scan can directly reflect the welding quality of the contact
