J-shaped groove is one of the commonly used groove forms in the weld of railway vehicle bogies. Q345 steel is one of the materials used in the railway vehicle bogies. For the J-shaped groove weld of Q345 steel
the technological research on the three methods of manual
automatic and hybrid MAG welding is studied. By comparing the test results of the macroscopic metallurgy and hardness of the welded joints
it shows that the hybrid MAG welding is more efficient than the manual MAG welding
and the weld quality of hybrid MAG welding is better than that of automatic MAG welding. So hybrid MAG welding is the most suitable procedure for meeting the basic requirements of batch safety production.
