The conductive rod of transmission and transformation equipment was successfully welded by refilling friction stir welding（FSW） technology combined with special welding tools and positioning tools in this paper

and the circular weld without keyhole is obtained. The welding deformation was measured

and the tensile

bending and macro-section microstructure of the weld were observed.Theresultsshowthattheoverallstraightnessofconductiverodisbetween 0.05 and 0.15 mm

the average tensile strength of weld is 195 MPa

no visible cracks appear at 180 degrees bending

and the macrostructure is fine and compact.
