Abstract

The reasons leading to weld joint fracture of the deaerator water system pipe of a nuclear power plant during operation were analyzed by means of morphology analysis

SEM and other detection means. The results show that the crack of weld joint of drain pipe is extended and propagation under the alternating load. The high stress and poor quality of welding are the main reasons for the fracture of the pipe weld joint.
